Brand identity for Plan International, a global development organisation operating in 51 countries across Africa, the Americas and Asia to promote and protect children’s rights.

 

Challenge
We were tasked with the challenge of moving on their current brand identity. Due to the large scale operations of the charity, the brand needed to be easily implemented across a wide variety of applications in numerous languages for both the regional and global offices whilst still maintaining a strong sense of brand consistency. 

The Outcome
The choice of bold typography reflects the direct, impactful work carried out by Plan International, whilst the distressed texture featured throughout the typography and icons reiterates its humanist nature. The robustness of the brand identity allows for easy implementation throughout all sectors whether it be regional or global offices. Through a set of highly comprehensive brand guidelines, we were able to demonstrate how to implement the brand and established four brand levels to cater to different offices resources whilst still maintaining absolute brand constancy.

Plan International global campaign: Because I am a Girl

As part of our partnership with Plan International, we were asked to form a design strategy for their ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign.

 

Challenge
The global campaign aims to create a world that values girls, promotes girls’ rights and ends injustice by putting children’s voices at the centre of the social movement.

The Outcome
Inheriting the campaigns prominent use of pink, we were able to combine the well established colour palette with the robust nature of the branding. This ensured that the campaign was distinctive yet consistent with the Plan International brand.
