Synopsis: Tutorful is the UK’s top-rated tutoring marketplace for personalised tutoring that gets results.

Tutorful’s flexible online platform connects learners of all ages with qualified, experienced tutors to deliver one-to-one tutoring, both in-person and online, covering academic topics, exam preparation, language tuition, and much more.

Challenge: Tutorful has been on a rapid growth trajectory since its inception in 2015, and has expanded to become a thriving community of 11,000 tutors and 200,000 learners, completing over three million lessons.

Tutorful initially approached us to discuss some simple changes to their website, but we quickly realised that there was more work needed to redefine the evolving essence of the brand. 2024 marks the right time for Tutorful to realign and re-energise its brand touchpoints, to reflect its evolution and exciting future direction.

Insight and idea: We began with a thorough competitor research piece and a brand analysis to benchmark Tutorful’s current positioning.

Clear areas of revision stood out: the child-focused design that didn’t communicate to learners of all ages, the reliance on stock imagery and flat visuals, and a website experience that lacked the memorable elements needed to help the brand stand out in the competitive tutoring space, and connect with a broader audience.

Expression: We were inspired by the idea of ‘Finding a tutor you really click with’ and made this our updated brand cornerstone, highlighting Tutorful’s wide range of tutors and subjects, with flexible learning delivery.

Green is the new primary brand colour, symbolising accomplishment, optimism and reassurance, while new typography principles add personality and playfulness.

Standard Stock images have been swapped for more authentic photography which tell the inspiring stories of real-life learners.

The new website design now feels modern and accessible, with an animated carousel as a central storytelling device at the heart of the user journey, to host a wide range of content types.

A streamlined presentation of the platform’s offering tells the brand story in a fresh, engaging way, and makes it easier for users to engage with services.

The newly-energised brand and website is setting the scene for the next decade of success for Tutorful.
